(Nov 10, 2020) Columbia, SC – Boyer Commercial Construction, Inc. announced today that it was awarded the U.S. Department of Labor 2020 Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans (HIRE Vets) Award Medallion Program implements the requirements of the HIRE Vets Act of 2017 (Public Law 115-31), which President Donald J. Trump signed in May 2017. It is the only veteran hiring award given at the federal level, and recognizes a company or organization’s commitment to veteran hiring, retention and professional development.

This marks the second consecutive year Boyer Construction has received a HIRE Vets Medallion. Boyer Commercial Construction, Inc. is one of only four companies in South Carolina to earn this year’s Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion. In 2019, the company entered the federal construction market and currently has active construction projects supporting the USACE Charleston District, National Cemetery Administration, the Dorn Veteran Affairs Medical Center and Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC.
