M. B. Kahn Construction Co., Inc. is pleased to announce that Rick Alexander has been promoted to Executive Vice President as of February 1, 2021. In this role, Rick will direct sales, marketing, preconstruction, and construction operations for the firm’s Specialty Construction Division.

“Rick is an exceptional leader with a talent for bringing together diverse teams to successfully complete complex construction projects,” said Bob Chisholm, President. “I am confident that he will continue to provide value for our clients and mentor and inspire his fellow team members.”

A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Building Construction and of Western Governors University with an MBA, Rick has spent his 30 years in construction as a project manager. He has delivered new construction projects as well as tenant upfits of speculative space and renovations. His numerous successful projects include hotels, restaurants, courthouses, hospice facilities, apartment buildings, schools, industrial facilities, public service facilities, office spaces, sports facilities, and performing arts venues.

M. B. Kahn’s Specialty Construction Division’s current projects range from a hotel in Summerville to a high-end residential complex in Columbia to masonry for an Upstate middle school. The variety of projects the division handles will benefit from Rick’s abilities to assess the unique characteristics of a project, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and build teams by eliminating “we-they” attitudes to create a pathway to success.
