McCrory Construction, South Carolina’s oldest general contractor, announces the promotion of Nichole Kopenhaver to Project Manager. She has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, the past eight with McCrory. Kopenhaver is currently assigned to two senior living community expansion projects McCrory has underway for Lutheran Homes of South Carolina – The Heritage at Lowman in the Midlands, and RoseCrest in the Upstate.

“Nichole has clearly demonstrated the leadership traits necessary to be an outstanding project manager – excellent communication skills, the ability to foster a teamwork environment, and the problem-solving skills required to see a project through,” said McCrory President Allen Bridgers. “Her passion for the construction industry and jobsite safety is evident as she strives to deliver project results that consistently exceed owner expectations.”

Kopenhaver served as National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Columbia Chapter #113 President for 2019-2020 and was the chapter’s Career Awareness Committee Chair for more than three years. She is the recipient of a long list of recognition awards, including NAWIC National Executive Spotlight Award, NAWIC South Atlantic Region Member of the Year for two consecutive years, NAWIC South Atlantic Region Top Recruiter, and NAWIC Chapter Member of the Year. Two years ago, she was honored by GroundBreak Carolinas as a “GroundBreaker” for going above and beyond to make a difference for the construction community in the Carolinas.
