CHARLESTON, SC (December 18, 2020) NYSE, TSX: STN Stantec, a leading global design and engineering firm, has welcomed three professionals to its growing Water, Landscape Architecture, and Transportation teams in Charleston.

Scott Abrams has joined Stantec’s Charleston office as the South Carolina water/wastewater market lead in its Water practice. Abrams brings over 20 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of water infrastructure in the Carolinas. Abrams is a graduate of Clemson University, with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, as well as the University of Minnesota, with a master’s degree in civil engineering. He currently serves as the Carolinas Chair of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) and is member of the South Carolina Section of the American Water Works Association (SCAWWA) and the Water Environment Association of South Carolina (WEASC).

Kristina Harvey

Kristina Harvey has joined Stantec’s Charleston office as a Landscape Architect in its Landscape Architecture practice. Harvey brings over 15 years of professional experience, most recently at a local civil engineering firm in South Carolina. She holds LEED AP and Sustainable SITES AP credentials and has a strong interest in multidisciplinary, LEED and SITES-track projects, as well as coastal waterfront design, adaptive reuse, and urban infill development. She is a graduate of Emory University, with a bachelor’s degree in biology, as well as a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, with a master’s degree in landscape architecture. Harvey currently serves as the South Carolina chapter president of the American Society of Landscape Architects and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council Lowcountry Branch.

Hernan Peña has joined Stantec’s Charleston office as a Transportation Designer in its Transportation practice. He joins Stantec full-time after serving as a civil engineering intern in Summer 2018 and Summer 2019, where he assisted in field inspections and provided support for a number of local projects. He is a graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
