COLUMBIA, SC, June 8, 2021— Thomas & Hutton is pleased to announce the following new hire in its Columbia office.
Melkin Rivas, EIT joined Thomas & Hutton’s Civil Department in Columbia as a designer. Melkin is a graduate of George Mason University where he obtained his degree in civil engineering. His previous work experience includes working full time in land development consulting, with a focus on data centers. As a designer in the Civil Department, Melkin’s responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of conceptual plans for industrial prospects and supporting in the development of engineering construction plans for educational, roadway, and industrial projects. He is currently working on a roadway extension project in Edgefield County and stormwater improvements for a school addition in Dillon, SC.
Melkin recently moved to South Carolina and enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving, fishing, and traveling in his free time.
