After more than 50 years in business, a Greenville restaurant announced its closing with a sign on its front door.

K&S Restaurant, known for its Southern home cooking, said its last day in operation at the 3107 White Horse Road location was Thursday.

“K&S Restaurant is closing after more than a half century. On behalf of the entire K&S family, we want to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to all of our customers, employees and friends. We will miss you,” the sign read.
