Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Thomas Mechanical New Facility

THS Constructors, Inc. hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Thomas Mechanical Facility located in Laurens, SC on Thursday, June 2nd. The new 20,000 SF facility will include manufacturing, warehousing and office spaces.

“Today marks a special day as we officially break ground on our new facility and continue to strengthen the Laurens County Community,” said Martin Lowry, President of Thomas Mechanical. “We have outgrown our current building, and this will enable us to better serve our customers in the future. We have been very blessed over the last 18 years of business, and we will be adding more people to our great staff in order to grow further.”

Thomas Mechanical is a privately held company headquartered in Laurens. The company provides a wide range of construction and maintenance services including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), process piping (chilled water, steam, hot water, cooling water, compressed air, gases, and chemical), equipment installation, metal fabrication, and fire protection (ordinary hazard, EFSR, fire pumps, tanks.)

“We have worked with Thomas Mechanical for 8 years and have worked together on 85 projects,” said Dana Emberton, President & CEO of THS. “With each project we have grown together and our commitment to each other has strengthened.”

Project partners for the project include GPN Architecture, Thomas & Hutton, Arrowood + Arrowood Engineers, Thomas Mechanical, Langford Electric and W.N. Kirkland. The facility is scheduled to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2022.
