A family-owned distilling company is now distributing its Kentucky-made bourbons and ryes across South Carolina — making it the 29th state the brand can be found in for sale.
Advintage Distributing in Ladson is the distributor New Riff Distilling partnered with to expand its distribution in the state, according to a New Riff news release.
“We are thrilled to finally bring New Riff products to South Carolina,” said New Riff Director of Sales and incoming President Mollie Lewis in the news release. “As we continue to grow our brand, we look for partners who represent New Riff’s values. Advintage is that partner and we are grateful for their knowledge and relationship in making this launch possible.”
Products available across South Carolina include New Riff’s Bottled in Bond Bourbon, Bottled in Bond Rye, 6 Year 100% Malted Rye Whiskey, Single Barrel Bourbon, and Single Barrel Rye.
Advintage Distributing was founded in 2003 as a fine wine house in Charleston and became a wholesaler in the craft beer and artisanal spirits industry.
“We have admired New Riff for years as we have watched them take strides in adjacent markets,” said Advintage Distributing VP of Sales Casey Lee in the news release. “They are a brand that is intentionally and organically building their reputation and footprint, never taking shortcuts. As a family company, we are proud to work with a company whose values align with ours.”
Bourbon and rye are made with traditional sour mash methods and bottled-in-bond without chill filtration. New Riff sources its water from an aquifer under the distillery, accessed via a 100-foot-deep private well and providing water with four times as much dissolved minerals than found in other water supplies, the release states. All products feature an age statement, and the mash bills are public, according to the news release.
